Mathletix — Privacy Policy

Effective: from the app's first release
Contact: support@emptyform.ai

Mathletix is an app that pairs physical activity with learning: narrated sessions you listen to while you run, walk, ride or train. This policy explains what the app records, where it keeps it, and what it never does.

The short version

What the app records, and why

All of the following is stored only on your device, in the app's own storage.

Your profile. A name, an age group, and optionally a date of birth and body mass, which you enter during setup. They personalise sessions — for example, a calorie estimate uses body mass. You can leave them blank.

Session results. Which sessions you completed, when, and how you answered the prompts in them, so the app can show your progress and avoid repeating what you have done.

Activity summaries. For each session: duration, distance, average pace or speed, elevation gain, and — if you have connected Apple Health — average and peak heart rate and calories. These drive the progress screens and some sessions' arithmetic.

Preferences. Units, and how you prefer to answer prompts.

Location

During an outdoor session, Mathletix uses your phone's location to measure distance, pace and elevation, and to trigger prompts at the kilometre marks you reach. If you allow it, this continues while the phone is locked or in your pocket, so a session can run with the screen off.

Your route is not stored. Position readings are held in memory only for the duration of the session and are used to compute the summaries above; the coordinates themselves are discarded when the session ends. They are never sent anywhere.

Location is optional. Indoor sessions — treadmill, indoor cycling, weight training — do not use it, and an outdoor session without location simply has no distance or pace.

Apple Health

If you choose to connect Apple Health, Mathletix reads heart rate, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, active energy, walking, running and cycling distance, step count and workouts, to show your effort during a session and summarise it afterwards. It writes completed sessions back to Apple Health as workouts, with their active energy, so your activity history stays in one place.

Health data is used only for these purposes, is kept only on your device, and is never shared with anyone or used for advertising or marketing. You can revoke access at any time in the Health app under Sharing.

Your own material

Mathletix includes a feature for turning a document of your own into a session. In the current release this feature cannot generate sessions, and documents you select are read on the device only and are not uploaded. If a future release enables generation by sending document text to a processing service, this policy will be updated first and the app will tell you before any document leaves your phone.

Children

Mathletix is designed for learners of all ages, including children using the app with a parent. The app does not collect personal information from anyone, children included, and has no accounts, messaging or sharing. A parent may create a child profile on their own phone; it is stored there and nowhere else.

What the app does not do

Deleting your data

Delete the app. Because everything it records lives inside the app's own storage on your phone, uninstalling removes all of it. Workouts already written to Apple Health remain there, under Apple Health's own controls, until you delete them in the Health app.

Changes

If a future version of Mathletix changes what it records or where it goes, this policy will be updated and the effective date above will change. The current version is always available at this address.
